BRANDED DRUGS

All Drugs has its own therapeutic and adverse effects. All of these  will take effect depending on what particular part of your body- External or Internal, that you wanted to be cured.

Before I go directly to the topic, let me give you a short background about Branded and Generic Drugs and about the difference between Drugs and Medicines because this two are often mistakenly used as similar terms which reality are NOT the same. Medicines is defined to have fairly negligible toxicities, they are those chemical substances that cures diseases, safe to use and not ADDICTIVE. Drugs on the other hand, are habit-forming substances that may lead to some serious adverse effects even though it is still initially used to cure diseases.

Branded Drugs and Generic Drugs has also its different distinction. Why is it that Generic Drugs are less expensive compared to those Branded Drugs where in fact those drugs bears the same Generic Name and differs only in their Brand Names? Do these Drugs have the same efficacy even though they don’t bear the same cost? Well, all these questions will be answered right away! So, this is how it goes, Generic Medicines are those which contain the same active ingredient this active ingredient being mentioned is the one which acts to cure the condition of the medicine that is also used to cure or to treat a particular sickness like headache for example. This active ingredient that a particular  Generic medicine contains has the same quantity a Branded medicine bear. The only reason why Branded Drugs are expensive is because they are being develop by a Pharmaceutical Company, meaning to say when a company develops a new medicine, their product must undergo and pass rigorous tests and evaluations to ensure that it is both effective in curing the condition it claims to treat and safe for human use. so, compared to Generic medicines, Branded Drugs undergoes different examinations, it takes time and the pharmaceutical companies invest considerable amounts of money before the drugs are released. That is why most Branded Medicines are well-known and most trusted when it comes to efficacy.

If I were to choose on what particular medicine will I prefer when it comes to immediate effect like those common illness for example e.g. COUGH, COLDS, HEADACHE and STOMACHACHE I would likely prefer those OTC or Over-The-Counter Medicines which easy to buy because first and foremost, It is always available in most of the community pharmacy so, We don’t have to worry, right? 🙂 When it comes to a particular medicine,I’d like to choose LOMOTIL since it’s the one that I’ve been frequently using these past few weeks because of LBM. Let give you some info about when it is used, what is its dose, how it is being administered and more!.
